VEYLLISTO INTERFACE ENGINE // PRE-RELEASE

Your system.
A different experience.

Veyllisto Interface Engine is a retro-inspired platform that unifies your game libraries, launchers, emulators, and physical media into a single, cohesive system—all running directly on top of your existing operating system.

Current focus: Windows • Linux & macOS planned • Multiple shells, one shared engine

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER INSTALLATION?

From scattered launchers to one consistent interface.

Veyllisto sits on top of the system you already use. You connect your game sources, choose how you want the experience to look, and the Interface Engine handles the shared library and launch flow underneath.

01

Install Veyllisto

Install the Interface Engine on your existing computer. Windows is the current development target, with Linux and macOS planned.

02

Connect your games

Point Veyllisto to supported sources such as Steam, emulator tools like RetroArch, ROM folders, and local launch targets.

03

Choose a shell

Start with the J-29 Terminal experience, then switch to other shells as they become available without rebuilding your library.

04

Launch from one place

Veyllisto builds one shared library and gives your games, emulators, metadata, and physical-media workflows a consistent front end.

TRY BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD

Experience J-29 directly in your browser.

Boot the terminal, browse a simulated library, insert demo physical media, switch Callisto themes, test the auxiliary display, and explore Maintenance Mode — no installation required.

CORE EXPERIENCE

Designed to feel like a system, not just a launcher.

01

Multiple Interface Shells

Switch between distinct visual experiences while keeping the same underlying library and configuration.

02

Unified Game Library

Bring installed games, emulator libraries, and launch targets into one consistent interface.

03

Physical Media Support

Detect removable media and make inserting a drive feel deliberate, tactile, and immediate.

04

Guided Setup

A first-run experience designed to make configuration approachable without hiding advanced controls.

05

Retro by Design

Terminal cues, restrained scanlines, period-influenced layouts, and purposeful audio without sacrificing readability.

06

Modern Underneath

Built around current systems and workflows rather than pretending modern hardware does not exist.

SHELL SYSTEM

J-29 is one experience — not the entire platform.

The J-29 Terminal provides the immersive retro-terminal experience that helped define the project, while the same Interface Engine can support graphical and future-purpose shells without rebuilding the library, metadata, settings, or launch systems underneath.
